Scholarships


Scholarships - Addiction Treatment Consumers

Applicants are invited from addiction treatment consumers (including those in designated consumer and peer roles) who wish to attend the Cutting Edge conference 2012 on a "scholarship" and be awarded a conference registration fee.

To qualify for a registration scholarship, applicants will need to meet the following criteria:

  • To be employed in a designated AOD consumer role (including peer support and advocacy)
    OR
  • Identify as a consumer whose primary role within the addiction treatment sector is voluntary
    OR
  • Be currently accessing addiction treatment services in New Zealand
  • Live and work in New Zealand


    To apply:
  • Provide a brief statement outlining why you would like to attend the Cutting Edge Conference and how attending will benefit you and your networks – please use the form below
  • Following the Conference you will be required to provide a brief summary to the scholarship funder of how attending the Cutting Edge Conference was beneficial and how it benefited your networks


    Please note – priority will be given to:
  • Applicants who have submitted a successful abstract or a poster
  • Applicants who did not receive a scholarship to attend Cutting Edge Conferences in either 2011 or 2010
  • Only one scholarship will be awarded per organisation or group


    Scholarship Process:
    Successful scholarship applicants will be notified before the 29 June, the scholarship selection panel will be represented by the Cutting Edge Organising Committee, Matua Raki Consumer Leadership Group and DAPAANZ the Conference host.


    Applications close: Friday 15th June 2012     (no applications will be accepted after the closing date)

    Scholarships - Student

    Applications are invited from unwaged students who are members of dapaanz and who are enrolled in tertiary addiction treatment studies who wish to attend the Cutting Edge Conference 2012 on a "scholarship" and be awarded a conference registration fee. There will be approximately 10 registration scholarships available.

    Scholarship Process:
    Successful scholarship applicants will be notified on 8 July. The scholarship selection panel will be represented by the Cutting Edge Organising Committee and dapaanz, the Conference host and scholarship funder.

    Applications close on Friday 24th June 2012.
