Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island is a picturesque blend of farmland, forest, beaches, vineyards and olive groves. Located in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand, it is only 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland.

Tour of Waiheke Island. Starting at 2pm. You will catch a ferry to Waiheke Island. Our tour guide will meet you there and take you on a wine tour of Jurassic Ridge Vineyard, Kennedy Pt Vineyard and Obsidian Vineyard.

If you wish you can stay for dinner at award winning TeWHAU Vineyard and restaurant.

Proposed Itineraries

Proposed Itinerary- Option 1 (NZD $85pp)
1400 – Catch Fullers ferry to Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf.
1500 – Visit Jurassic Ridge vineyard. This is a new vineyard on the Island own by Lance Blumhardt ( previously a Geologist and Neurologist )He is very passionate about his vineyard, wine and olive oil.
1600 – Olive oil, avocado oil and wine tasting at Kennedy Pt vineyard. This is a boutique vineyard recently winning a Trophy in London at the International wine challenge for their 2007 Syrah.
1700 – Visit Obsidian Vineyard. This is another family owned vineyard with a wide selection of Waiheke grown and produced wines including their award winning Montepulciano. Viognier, Chardonnay and Bordeaux style varieties.
