VicUrban is the Victorian State Government's sustainable urban development authority. Pru is an architect and property professional who specialises in creating new benchmarks in urban planning, sustainable developments and public infrastructure. She has held senior roles in the development of the Melbourne Museum and Melbourne's Federation Square and has worked internationally, managing property aff airs and the delivery of major infrastructure in South Africa and Malaysia.

VicUrban is responsible for the development of major urban renewal initiatives including Melbourne Docklands and the revitalisation of Central Dandenong and urban growth projects across Melbourne and provincial Victoria. Other initiatives include design excellence, community infrastructure, environmental performance and aff ordable housing.

At VicUrban, she is driving new achievements in environmental planning, the delivery of aff ordable housing, urban design excellence and the creation of effective communities. Pru is a Director of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board of Victoria and serves on the Board of the Committee for Melbourne, the National Advisory Board of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA) and is a member of the Federal Government's Built Environment Industry Innovation Council (BEIIC).

Professor Peter Jones

Peter Jones is Professor of Transport and Sustainable Development, in the Centre for Transport Studies at University College London (UCL). He moved there in 2005 from the post of Director of the Transport Studies Group at the University of Westminster, before which he was Deputy Director of the Transport Studies Unit at Oxford University. He is Director designate of the planned UK Transport Research Centre, jointly funded by the Department for Transport, the ESRC and the Scottish Government. He is a member of the UK Independent Transport Commission, the IHT Urban Design Group and an Overseas Special Advisor to the International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences, Japan.

His research interests are wide ranging, from international transport comparisons, policy formulation, understanding the role of travel behaviour in lifestyles, the development of new survey, analysis and evaluation methods, to improvements to the planning and design of urban streets.
