Conference - RFD Gala Dinner

We warmly invite all delegates to attend the RFD Gala Dinner. Not only is this an opportunity to network and unwind, but during the evening we will be announcing the winners of the inaugural New Zealand Water Safety Awards.

Our guest speaker for the evening is the highly regarded and effervescent, Ralph Goto, Administrator of Honolulu's Ocean Safety and Lifeguard Services Division. Ralph will share inspiring and entertaining stories about his role during three decades of lifeguarding in Hawaii. As a major tourist destination, Ralph's team of 155 employed and 60 -70 volunteer lifeguards keep watch over seven million holiday makers (plus locals) every year. Managing that many people, at potentially dangerous beaches is no mean feat, but Ralph's innovative life saving technology has helped build awareness of beach safety and enabled more effective rescues.
